Nutrition Services
The Nutrition Services Department provides nutritious and appetizing meals that encourage students to be productive and ready to learn at school. Providing nutrition that meets or exceeds USDA requirements at the best value is our goal.
Currently, all students districtwide may have one free breakfast and one free lunch each school day, and no application is needed under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Newberg-Dundee School District qualifies for CEP through the 2026-27 academic year.
Please note that Newberg-Dundee Public Schools will not be accepting free and reduced-price meal applications for as long as the CEP is in place to provide one free breakfast and one free lunch every school day to children. CEP will run through the 2026-27 school year. It ends in June of 2027.
Primary responsibilities of this department include:
- Planning and serving school meals and snacks
- Maintaining compliance with federal and state guidelines
- Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program
- Online Payment Program
- Summer Feeding Program

Nutrition Services: Program Meal Accommodations and Modifications
Federal regulations require Child Nutrition Programs Sponsors to offer to all participants meals and snacks that meet the meal requirements identified in each of the program’s regulations. Federal regulations further require Sponsors to make substitutions to the standard meal requirements for participants who are considered disabled and whose disability restricts their diet. A Sponsor may, at its discretion, make substitutions for individual participants who are not "disabled persons" but are unable to consume a food item because of medical or other special dietary needs.
Below are forms, resources, and guidance to be used for special dietary needs.
