Newberg High School offers courses in acting and stagecraft in excellent theater facilities built in 2006.

Courses introduce students to the basics of acting, theater history, and technical theater for those who want to continue in theater classes and school productions and for those who want to try it for fun. More serious students can develop technical, acting technique, and audition skills in advanced classes. Stage movement courses provide a physical preparation for theater students.

Newberg High School drama students stage five productions during each school year, including a fall musical, a Shakespearean play, a Straight Play in the spring, a Musical Theater performance in late-spring, and the annual Tournament of One-Act Plays in late spring.

Upcoming Event:  Dramafest!  Theater camp for grades 4-8.  July 9 - 12 from 9am to noon.  Performance for families at 11:30 on Friday July 12.
