Superintendent

Paula Radich is serving as the interim superintendent of the Newberg-Dundee School District.

Dr. Radich served as the district’s superintendent for 13 years from 1999 until retiring in 2013 after four decades in education. In that time she led efforts to successfully improve student achievement and strengthen relationships with employee groups and community members. During her tenure, she was named 2010 Oregon Superintendent of the Year.

This is not Radich’s first experience as an interim superintendent. Following her retirement Dr. Radich was appointed to serve as interim superintendent in the Salem-Keizer School District in 2014. During her tenure there, Dr. Radich helped the district navigate boundary adjustments, supported visionary work on the strategic plan and budgeting process, and partnered with staff and community members to launch the Marion-Polk County Early Learning Hub and Willamette Promise which provide innovative learning opportunities for students.

Dr Radich later worked as Interim Superintendent in the Beaverton School District and Interim Assistant Superintendent for the Office of Teaching and Learning for the Oregon Department of Education.  There she collaboratively worked to modify the Educator Evaluation Accountability system and provide statewide professional development for its implementation.

Dr. Radich was unanimously appointed to serve as interim superintendent beginning on June 12 , 2024 while Stephen Phillips is on medical leave.
