The Newberg School Board is seeking candidates to fill a vacant position representing Zone 1. Interested persons must be registered voters and reside in Board Zone 1 for one year preceding the appointment. If there are no qualified candidates from Zone 1 the board will consider applications from within other zones within the District. The board will appoint a citizen to fulfill the unexpired term through June 30, 2025.

In cases where the boundary falls on a road or waterway, the boundary runs along the road or waterway centerline. Beginning at the intersection of W First Street and S Main Street; thence South along S Main Street to the intersection with E Fifth Street and Dayton Avenue; thence Southwesterly along Dayton Avenue to the point of intersection with Chehalem Creek; thence Southerly along Chehalem Creek to the Centerline of the Willamette River and the Southern boundary of the Newberg School District line; thence Southwesterly along the Centerline of the Willamette River and Newberg School District line which includes Ash Island to the intersection with the Southern boundary of the Newberg School District line at Quartz Landing RD; thence Westerly and Northerly along the Southern Newberg School District boundary line turning due North to the point of intersection with NE Worden Hill Road where NE Worden Hill Road turns and runs from a Southeasterly direction to a due East direction; thence East along NE Worden Hill Road to the intersection with NE Powell Hill Road; thence North along NE Powell Hill Road to the intersection with NE Fairview Drive; thence Easterly along NE Fairview Drive to the intersection with NE Red Hills Road; thence East along NE Red Hills Road to the intersection with Harvey Creek; thence Northeasterly along Harvey Creek to the intersection with NE Fox Farm Road; thence Northerly on NE Fox Farm Road to the intersection with NE Sunnycrest Road; thence East along NE Sunnycrest Road to the intersection with W First Street; thence East along W First Street to the point of beginning at the intersection with S Main Street.
