Several Students Signed up to Play Sports at Schools Nationwide!

Tuesday, May 21 was National Signing Day, and Newberg High School student-athletes participated in the tradition in a major way, with balloons, applause, speeches, and, of course, signing.

The big day is when a high school senior can sign a binding National Letter of Intent for a collegiate sport at a school that’s a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

“We are so incredibly proud of these student-athletes!” Athletic Director Mark Brown said. “Having the opportunity to compete in collegiate athletics is an outstanding accomplishment and we are excited to see what the future holds for each of these individuals. We are proud of who they are as student-athletes, but are even more proud of who they are as individuals. We wish them all the best next year and hope that they always remember ... Once a Tiger, always a Tiger!”
