"This week, the fourth-graders at Joan Austin Elementary wrapped up the 'Eureka! Student Inventors Reality Game' show where they learned all about various inventors, the invention process, as well as pitching an invention of their own design," said Joan Austin Fourth Grade Teacher Lindsay Ruhnke. "One of the inventors they learned about was Ruth Wakefield. She has been credited with inventing the chocolate chip cookie. So, in her honor (and to celebrate all of their hard inventing work), the fourth-graders had a chocolate chip cookie party."
