Here is the Oregon Battle of the Books update from Regional Competitions on March 16. Both of our middle schools had teams competing!
- The Mountain View team, The Griffins, won their regional battle and are headed to state! MV Librarian Stephanie Miller said: We are so proud of The Griffins! This team is focused, hardworking, delightful, and fun. They truly work as a team, and they have consistently displayed great sportsmanship as well as phenomenal performance under pressure. Their win is a testimony to their diligence as no team makes it this far without a lot of hard work!"
- The CV team made it to the final eight! CV Librarian Blythe Darula said: "I am super proud of how hard they worked and their great attitude! Everyone had a lot of fun! I am also very appreciative of Anna Millage and all the parent support. We couldn't have done it without them."
This year, the School District has OBOB teams in grade levels K-8. Our local teams have been participating in the 2024 Regional Tournaments, which run from March 2 to 30. The OBOB State Tournament will be held on April 13. We will have more updates throughout the month!
