hi my name is Chris Stevens I'm the principal of catalyst High School I'm one of the project managers for the bond project Newberg Public Schools let's give you a tour of the school and see what the bond has added to Catholic High School the barn to work the district prioritize the safety and welcoming bonus for each addition and renovation and kappas so what we integrated was the front door that was transparent from the outside what's the cure on the inside was Administration and visitors able to come in open the front door get into the vegetable with the security have a visual connection with Administration within the death of a good day put them in one of the components in the addition that we received was a new space specifically for our Chehalem Online Academy give you a tour that this is the evening front office area as we go back through here we do have is your classrooms and a joint work space where everybody can come together we have another classroom here and we also have two offices on this end of welcome to Fab Lab as you can see we have a lot of students doing all sorts of different things in this state are the states really serve multiple purposes is not only a kid having the ending learning experiences but it's also something you know we actually get kids coming to school as a result of just coming into that phase you working in this Bay so it has many purposes a lot of what the teacher teaches in this phase of you with life skills and things that students would be doing a school teacher just a matter of if your kid has an idea I would look for ways of fighting that idea come to fruition you can see over here we have at skate Ranch that has been created and actually something that he's been working on he's actually made skateboards actually pressing the skateboard and you know what you can buy these things but it's a lot more fun to make what are the new edition the catalyst is wonderful gymnasium that was included actually a gym multi-purpose room as you can see it gets used almost all day long we got juice in here all day and then it Japanese would you have to take reservations at cumin used in part of the promise was to provide Equity all across campuses Catalyst the old campus was lacking a covered play area and I was able to provide that for for the campus as part of the addition this is a new space in Dallas High School trying to be neutral space where students can work on their own independently a we also have couple of math classroom this is a math classroom in the one next door is also a math class room and as we walked further down the hall here we actually have some small CPE lab that double as a language arts class social studies class and this is our career and College office all right thanks for coming and visiting Catalyst feed New Edition I really like I think the voters for all the support and helping us get this Building completed because of the bond that the voters voted for Catalyst was able to double its square footage from the approximately 30,000 square feet to now over 26,000 square feet
