Lindsay Kopacek, Assistant Principal of Mountain View Middle School

A few of your main daily tasks:

  • Students. The best part of my day is that I get to support students in a variety of ways; sometimes this means helping them with challenges like homework or other aspects of school. Other times this means helping them use their advocacy for things such as leadership and student leaders, like running the Wildcat Exchange on Fridays and helping to support our monthly all-school assemblies. I enjoy finding ways to get all students engaged and feeling a part of MVMS.
  • Staff. Serving staff in many ways by supporting professional development and working together to achieve school-wide goals and expectations for students’ success.
  • Families. Working alongside families to hear concerns and challenges and support MVMS's families’ success and achievements.

One long-term project: Increasing student engagement and recognition in many ways such as student learning, leadership, Honor Roll, Student of the Month, monthly assemblies, and Positive Behavior Referrals.

Your main goal: As an administrative team, our main goal is to guide middle schoolers to achieve success, grow as individuals, and build skills to be prepared for college and career readiness. At MVMS, we believe in being responsible, being respectful, showing our best effort, and having integrity. MVMS is the place to be!
