CVMS/MVMS Orchestra Director Shae Skiles provided an important announcement on Feb. 17 about an Oregon Music Education Association (OMEA) honor for local students: “This weekend, CVMS and MVMS sent a number of students to participate in the OMEA District 14 Middle School Honor Orchestra and Honor Band. These ensembles were made up of the top middle school musicians from the surrounding cities, and students prepared this music outside of their regular band/orchestra classes. They spent the last two days rehearsing with guest conductors and performed a concert this afternoon. Mr. Banks, Mr. Christensen, and I are so proud of our students' hard work and dedication to music!”
