Dear Families, Community, and Staff:
We hope that 2024 is off to a good start for you and your family. This month, some math teachers across the district will be participating in a math pilot to test out two curriculums the School District is considering for adoption.
The piloting will take place in January and February. These materials were chosen through a rigorous evaluation process by our Math Leadership Team, a core group of teachers representing each of our schools districtwide. This process began last winter, as our Math Leadership Team dove into the national and state standards, as well as the best practices and standards to use in math instruction. In addition, all materials exceed the requirements for the State of Oregon.
The materials that will be piloted are:
Elementary (K-5) Options:
- Curriculum Associates, i-Ready Classroom Mathematics, Oregon Version
- McGraw Hill Education, Reveal Math
MS (6-8) Options:
- Big Ideas Learning, Oregon Math Grades 6-8
- EdGems Oregon EdGems Math I-III
HS (9-12) Options:
- Big Ideas Learning, Oregon Math Grades 9-12
- Savvas Learning Company, enVision AGA
Throughout the pilot, data will be collected from multiple sources to help our Adoption Team form the best recommendation to our School Board. You may view the materials at the District Office. Esperamos que el 2024 tenga un buen comienzo para usted y su familia. Este mes, algunos de nuestros maestros de matemáticas en todo el distrito participarán en un programa piloto de matemáticas para poner a prueba dos planes de estudio que el distrito está considerando adoptar.
El programa piloto se llevará a cabo entre los meses de enero y febrero.
