Nondiscrimination Statement

Newberg Dundee Public Schools provides equal educational and employment opportunities and prohibits discrimination and harassment.

Newberg Dundee Public Schools provides equal educational and employment opportunities. It is a policy of the district to prohibit discrimination and harassment on any basis protected by law, including but not limited to, an individual’s actual or perceived race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, familial status, pregnancy, economic status, age, mental or physical disability, genetic information, military or veterans’ status, or based on the association of the individual with another person within these protected classes. The district’s prohibition of discrimination and harassment applies in district programs, activities and practices including, but not limited to, employment, assignment and promotion of personnel; educational opportunities and services offered students; student discipline; location and use of facilities; educational offerings and materials; and accommodating the public at public meetings.

The district complies with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to: Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008; and Oregon laws prohibiting discrimination.

The district is committed to serving all members of the public including people with disabilities. District meeting locations shall be accessible to persons with disabilities. A request for an interpreter for the hearing impaired, or for other accommodations for persons with disabilities, should be made at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting.
